This lambskin is the highest quality medical sheepskin available and provides maximum cushioning and support. Â Research has shown that sheepskin is a cost effective method of reducing the risk of pressure sores. Warm in winter and cool in summer, the wool pile allows air to circulate under the skin and helps to maintain an even skin temperature. The Hi-Temp medical sheepskin is tanned in Australia to Australian Standard AS4480.1 and is made from Australian merino sheep. Â Previously only available in dark green, it is now made in ivory to the same standard. It is machine washable in water up to 80 degrees celsius to achieve a high level of disinfection. Â With a dense wool pile and wool length of 30mm, this sheepskin maximises pressure relief and is suitable for hospital or nursing home use.
